Effective 5 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Privacy policy
People on Point respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, request event staff, create an account, apply for work or use our staffing platform.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- identity and contact details, account details and communication preferences;
- business, event, venue, staffing, quote, invoice and enquiry information;
- worker profile, experience, role, skill, availability, work-right, certification and compliance information;
- emergency-contact details supplied by a worker, who must tell that person before providing their information;
- assignment, attendance, optional one-time check-in location, timesheet and payment-status information;
- messages, support requests, complaints, consents and audit history; and
- technical information such as IP-derived security identifiers, browser details, session records and necessary cookies.
Do not send us tax file numbers, bank or card details, superannuation member details, payroll credentials or unrelated sensitive information. Payroll onboarding is handled by an external payroll provider when that service is enabled.
How we collect information
We generally collect information directly from you through forms, accounts, documents, communications and your use of the platform. We may also receive authorised operational information from a client, venue, payroll provider or service provider where reasonably necessary to deliver or administer staffing services.
Why we use it
- to respond to enquiries and prepare staffing plans or quotes;
- to assess worker applications, qualifications, availability and role suitability;
- to coordinate events, offers, assignments, attendance and timesheets;
- to communicate with users and provide support;
- to administer accounts, invoices, payroll hand-offs and legal or compliance obligations;
- to keep the service secure, prevent misuse, investigate incidents and maintain audit records; and
- to improve operations using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
Artificial intelligence features, if enabled, are advisory only. They do not make final employment, rejection, pay, safety or legal decisions.
When we disclose information
We may disclose relevant information to:
- clients and venues where necessary to plan and deliver an assignment;
- workers where necessary to communicate complete shift requirements;
- hosting, database, authentication, storage, communication and security providers;
- approved payroll, accounting or payment providers when those integrations are enabled;
- professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or courts where authorised or required; and
- a successor organisation in connection with a genuine business restructure or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Clients do not receive worker identity documents, emergency-contact records, payroll credentials or internal compliance evidence merely because they requested staff.
Overseas processing
Our primary application database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Some technology providers and their support or infrastructure providers may process information in the United States and other countries in which they operate. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service and information involved when using these providers.
Security and retention
We use access controls, role-based permissions, encrypted connections, private document storage, audit records and other technical and organisational safeguards. No online service is completely risk-free. We retain information only for operational, legal, safety, dispute and record-keeping needs, then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer required and lawful to do so. Legal holds and applicable laws may require longer retention.
Access and correction
You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Some account details can be updated in the platform. For other requests, contact the Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse a request where the law permits or requires us to do so, in which case we will explain the reason where appropriate.
Privacy complaints
Send a written complaint to the Privacy Officer with enough information for us to investigate. We aim to acknowledge it promptly and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, or we do not respond within 30 days, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Contact the Privacy Officer

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date and version at the top identify the current policy. Material changes will be communicated through the website or account experience where appropriate.
